Formentera receives every year thousands of visitors. The island´s population almost multiplies itself by five in summer season. Nevertheless, due to its small size, Formentera does not have an airport. Therefore, the only way to reach the island is through seaway coming from Ibiza. Every day, Ibiza´s airport receives numerous flights coming from the whole Europe, which land in Ibiza full of turists who want to visit Formentera. Having reached the island of Ibiza, the first thing you will have to do is to take a taxi or a bus which will take you to the port, where you will find the boat station. Here you can buy the ticket which allows you to take the boat (which offers a regular service) that will take you to the Savina port, in Formentera. This journey takes between 30 minutes and 1 hour depending on the type of boat you have chosen. This first step to reach Formentera will allow you to begin enjoying the wonderful panoramic views of Formentera´s coast and the island of Espalmador, which you will see from the boat during the whole journey.
